Since its founding in 1972, the Nancy K. Perry Children's Shelter has provided safe harbor for more than 5,000 children in Lexington County. The Shelter exists to provide residential care and nurture to children who are in crisis, victims of sexual or physical abuse, neglect, abandonment, or exploitaiton.

                                    Nancy K. Perry

The Nancy K. Perry Children's Shelter was named in honor of Mrs. Perry in 1993. She was the first housemother, volunteer, and later executive director and was active with the Shelter for 35 years. Nancy passed away on June 23, 2007 after a long battle with cancer.  All who knew her miss her deeply. See more about Mrs. Perry's life on the NEWS page.  

Roy Perry, husband of Nancy Perry is seen below at the Sept. 17th, 2007 Nancy K. Perry Golf Annual Golf Tournament with Jarrell Smith, Executive Director of the Shelter.  Jarrell is holding the Perry Memorial Cup which will contain the names of each tournament winner in the years to come. In the next picture are the winners of this years tournament (from the left): Scott Warzecha, David Huff, Roy Perry, Brian Rainwater, and Jay Collins.
