Below are some of the things the shelter needs.
  • Clothing donations and keep clothing closet organized.
  • Baby clothes (sizes birth through 4T) and teenage fashions need sorting and organizing.
  • Come out once a month to do cleaning chores other than housekeeper's daily chores.
  • Bargain shoppers with fashion sense needed to transport and assist children with clothing purchases. When children enter care they receive an initial clothing allowance. They then receive a clothing allowance every 3 months while they are in care. Both men and women needed. Please let us know if you have an age preference.
  • Plan and host a cookout.
  • Deliver a healthy snack
  • Energetic, outgoing, patient, persons to assist house parent / relief house parent in the evenings. Someone who can just jump in to assist wherever needed to help children follow the evening routine. This may be helping with homework, helping someone study, helping to get dinner on the table, supervising children during play time, helping a child straighten out their room, hang out, play a game, or shadow an aggressive child to assist him/her in successfully following the routine without getting into trouble.
  • Plan and conduct arts and crafts activities.
  • Short Interactive Bible Lessons.
  • Plan and host a recreational activity.
  • Assist with morning, afternoon, and evening activities on Saturdays.
  • Donate needed services such as plumbing, painting, electrical, carpet cleaning, landscaping, computer tech, and appliance repair and maintenance on an as needed basis.
